Clawed Demo South Access Tunnel Key Location

Why old walkthroughs disagree

The official Road to Release Demo patch notes say two important things changed:

• the South Access Tunnel entry was relocated;
• the South Tunnel Key was moved to an easier-to-locate position.

That is why a video from an earlier Demo build can point to the wrong room or describe a route that no longer matches your game.

Current search method

Use the current objective as the starting point, then return to the South Access area from the named park landmarks. Search the route in this order:

1. Check the last room or landmark named by the objective.
2. Scan the nearby information booths, doors, and interactable surfaces.
3. Check the South Access Tunnel entrance itself before widening the search.
4. Have every co-op player check their inventory.
5. Reload after confirming the Demo is fully updated if the key prompt never appears.

The patch note confirms the relocation, but it does not publish a permanent room-by-room coordinate. This guide therefore avoids inventing a precise landmark that could be wrong after another Demo patch.

Common mistakes

Following a pre-patch video

Check the upload date and the Demo version shown in the video. The safest videos are those that explicitly mention the Road to Release patch or show the newer entrance.

Searching the tunnel before the objective is active

Some interactions may not appear until the current task has been triggered. Read the note, objective, or nearby prompt first, then return to the locked route.

Splitting the team too far apart

In co-op, one player may carry the item while another checks the door. Keep the group close enough to compare objectives and inventory before resetting the route.
